AN EFFORT TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVE THE WILD ANIMALS IN INDIA

Abstract

In this article, an attempt has been made to explore the concept of environmental protection and wildlife conservation particularly wild animals. As witnessed, the excessive exploitation of natural resources by humans has degraded the environment, endangered certain animal species and damaged the ecosystem to a certain extent. Thus, the initiatives taken at the national and international levels to preserve the environment and protect wild animals are the focal concern of the study with the help of contributions made by the Indian legislature and judiciary. Further, the present study also focuses on the issues and challenges related to environmental protection and wildlife conservation.
